A Lotte Horses is located 15min from Ventura, in Wheeler Canyon, Santa Paula. With 26 horses and ponies plus chickens, pigs, rabbits, guinea pigs, cats, dogs, tortoises and more, there is always plenty to do at A Lotte Horses. All our riders learn to muck, groom, tack and ride. Connection, horsemanship, animal care and developing riding skills are the cornerstones of all our camps, lessons and homeschool programs.
Our lessons, camps and homeschool programs are all created with the rider in mind. Our staff team consists of expert horse trainers, state credentialed teachers and certified Waldorf teachers.
This summer, we explore crafts themes across nine weeks, including all things pony, woodwork, summer gardens, build a village, leatherwork/macrame, story stitch, derby, three day eventing and more. We'll create solar dye projects and bake in a solar oven. We'll make horse treats and get creative in addition to learning to ride and care for the horses.
Always, we start our day with circle, reviewing safety tips and connecting through word and games. Depending on the day, we might walk ponies, give them turnouts and bathe them. Always, we muck, groom, tack and ride. All riders help to tack up fully with support as needed.
We hope to see you this summer!
