Ashley Ramirez, a credentialed teacher and mother, joins us in teaching Mini Pony Adventures.
Growing up in Ojai, she was able to spend her teen years exploring the wonderous sensory experience of horses. Each day after school, she mucked stalls at a local barn, which allowed her to develop skills in basic horsemanship. She spent her free time trail riding, and even dabbled in showmanship and beginner jumping.
Ashley graduated from CSU Channel Islands with a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, a multi-subject teaching credential, and has worked towards her master’s degree in Counseling and Guidance from California Lutheran University. She spent several years teaching before choosing to become a stay-at-home mother.
In the summer of 2020, her daughter joined A Lotte Horses. It was then that Ashley’s personal interest in horses and her professional passion for teaching integrated, and she began teaching Mini Pony Adventures, something which Lotte had long hoped would become a reality for the younger children.
Ashley invites you to join her on this “adventure” where young riders learn to groom, tack and ride with a lead, while emphasizing safety, confidence and fun!
